Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AM–10 PM. We used to love this place but our last two visits were very disappointing. Tonite we ordered take out and sadly, but not surprising, the order was wrong. The young lady who took the order didn't barely pay attention, made no eye contact and seemed bothered. Should have known right then it would be wrong. Ordered and paid for 10 wings and got 5. No flats. Meatballs were cold as well. Hard to understand how such a popular place goes downhill like that, but that's the sad truth. Not going to try for a third disappointment. You've lost a customer.

We celebrated one of our granddaughter's 8th grade graduation at Anthony's Coal Fred Pizza Restaurant near Wantagh, Long Island, NY with our children and grandchildren. We had several different pizzas and we each had a chance to try the different pizzas. The delicious pizza varieties are incredible and we had a great time! I definitely recommend Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza!

Went here for the first time recently at the suggestion of a friend and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was really really good, our server ray was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Place was clean and prices are good also. Will definitely be returning. Thanks guys

The wings looked great but tasted burnt. They did not have a flavourful char on them. No seasoning was detected - just burnt chicken and honey drizzle on my taste buds. The pizza was weirdly tepid. The name "Coal Fired" implies a hot, smokey meal, fresh out the oven. It was bizarre to me how my done to order pizza was not even hot; both the dough and the toppings! For a pizza AND wings lover, it was a truly underwhelming & disappointing dining experience for my first time here. There are better options out there.

Great Anthony’s salad, very affordable prices, good service, social distancing and famous chicken wings. For me personally it was a little bit burned. I can’t have little black coal pieces in my mouth. Sorry. But I know for sure some people love it. So, people it’s up to you.
